Eric Goldwyn is a Research Scholar in the NYU Urban Expansion program at the Marron Institute. Eric is currently an affiliated member of the faculty at NYU Shanghai where he is teaching a course entitled Urban Transportation Revolutions during the Spring 2018 semester. He received his PhD in Urban Planning from Columbia University. His dissertation examined transportation planning and policy formation in New York through the lens of Brooklyn’s dollar vans. He has taught courses on urban studies at Hunter College and Barnard College and his writing on cities and transportation technology has been published in academic journals and popular press outlets.
