During his undergraduate and graduate period in Beihang University, Brian mainly focused on Air Traffic Management, more specific, Aircraft Scheduling Problem. He did research on designing intelligent optimization algorithms, like Genetic Algorithm, K-Means Clustering Algorithm, etc. to solve aircraft scheduling problem in terminal area, which is known as an NP-hard problem. He also did research on analyzing large-scale actual data recorded from airport operation by using artificial neural networks to find the operation patterns of a certain airport. He had published a paper indexed by EI about Aircraft Landing Scheduling in 2014. What’s more, he has developed a module of the National Air Traffic Assistant Decision-Making System, which has passed the validation.
