Samrat Acharya
Research Scientist
Samrat Acharya is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Center for Cybersecurity, New York University. He received a B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Pokhara University, Nepal in 2014 and an M.Sc. degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Masdar Institute of Science and Technology in the United Arab Emirates (collaborative program with MIT) in 2017.
His current research focuses on cyber-physical modeling, vulnerability analysis, and security of urban power grids, with a priority on demand-side attack vectors of the grids such as electric vehicles. His research is jointly advised by Prof. Ramesh Karri and Prof. Yury Dvorkin.
