Survey: Transportation & Mobility for All during the COVID-19 Pandemic Recovery
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact in all areas of life, including transportation and mobility. Researchers at NYU’s C2SMART Center have been studying how transportation/mobility options and patterns have changed and continue to change as the situation evolves. This pandemic has disproportionately affected the mobility options and needs of many, but especially essential workers, lower-income individuals, people with disabilities, gender/ethnic minorities, and other groups.
Through this survey, we seek to understand how transportation disparities have carried on or widened as a result of the pandemic. Among other questions, we seek to learn about needs for different individuals, traveling with dependents following the pandemic, method and frequency of caretaker trips (transporting children, older relatives, etc.), and verbal harassment, theft, assault, etc. on trips before, during, and after the pandemic by mode.
To help us better understand these questions, we invite you to take part in a 5-10 minute online survey that will help inform more inclusive mobility solutions and policy changes that will impact all of us. After completing the survey, you will have the opportunity to be entered into a draw to win a $25.00 gift card for your participation. Please complete the survey by July 26, 2020.
