Dr. Raheem has received her Ph.D. in Construction Management from the University of Florida (UF) in 2014. She holds multiple master’s degrees in Building Construction, Environmental Engineering, and Civil Engineering from UF. She is now serving as an Assistant Professor and Director of the Construction Safety Program at the University of Texas, El Paso. Dr. Raheem is an invited member of the President’s Advisory Committee on Sustainability and Academic Innovation Committee at UTEP. She has been serving as a merit reviewer with the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Technology Commercialization Fund (TCF), DOE-NE's Consolidated Innovative Nuclear Research- Construction Group, and Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Education (managed by Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) for DOE). Dr. Raheem has a research portfolio of more than $2.5 million with projects funded by various U.S. federal agencies and non-profit organizations such as the Department of Labor, Department of State, National Science Foundation, and VentureWell. Her research interests include smart construction, construction safety, and construction management. She is an Envision™ Sustainability Professional (ENV SP), a certified associate member of the Design-Build Institute of America (Assoc. DBIA™), and an OSHA-certified Master Trainer.
