On December 10th, C2SMART Professor Joseph Chow joined the Signaling Innovation Summit as a tech pitch evaluator. This Summit brought together innovators, stakeholders and academic experts to create partnerships that will improve subway safety, performance and operational efficiency through signaling modernization.

The MTA is allowing private vendors to have a part of the $7 billion plan to upgrade NYC’s outdated subway train signals. This Innovation Summit had over 80 companies who pitched their best ideas to optimize the subway’s service.
