Evangelos Simoudis
Evangelos Simoudis is the founder and managing director of Synapse Partners, a firm that invests in early-stage companies developing applications that combine artificial intelligence with big data. His seminar, part of the C2SMART Distinguished Speaker Series, will be on the topic of “Exploring A New Value Chain For Fleet-Based On-Demand Mobility.”
Abstract
The work presented in this talk focuses on a new value chain that is emerging as a result of next-generation mobility, and specifically on-demand shared transportation. It identifies how the combination of autonomous vehicles with on-demand mobility is leading to four fundamental shifts that give rise to this value chain. The talk addresses:
Prior to his investing and advisory work, Evangelos had more than 20 years experience in high-technology industries, including in executive roles spanning operations, marketing, sales, and engineering. He was also the CEO of two startups. Evangelos is a member of Caltech’s advisory board, the Advisory Board of Brandeis International School of Business, and the advisory board of Center for Urban Science and Progress. In 2014, he was named a Power Player in Digital Platforms. Evangelos earned a Ph.D. in computer science from Brandeis University and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Caltech.
