C2SMART Hosts Managing Urban Parking and Mobility Workshop with IPMI
On November 12 – 13, 2019, IPMI and C2SMART held a collaborative meeting Managing Urban Mobility (and Parking) at the New York University Tandon School of Engineering, Brooklyn, N.Y. The meeting is convening select leaders from the largest cities across the country including New York City, Seattle, Detroit, Columbus, Philadelphia, Chicago, Denver, and San Francisco for a discussion about the evolving mobility landscape and its effects on transportation and parking – and living – in our cities. New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) also presented four NYC Walking Tours on street design, commercial access, placards and authorized parking and residential parking on the first day of the meeting.
Several key topics were covered through discussion sessions such as maximizing mobility for economic development and Monetizing Curb Space and Revenue Generation to Fuel Successful Cities. Participants shared and exchanged their experiences and challenges in their city during the two-day meeting. The event concluded with the lesson learned and inspired ideas on future collaborative efforts across the cities and between industry and academia.
