On September 12th, the Master student Suzana Duran Bernardes, supported by the C2SMART, presented her work on women representation in transportation publications authorship in the 6th International Conference on Women’s Issues in Transportation. She presented her paper, titled  Gender trends in transportation research publications over the last decade, in a poster session. The paper covered the change in the number of female authors in papers published in the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting from 2009 to 2018. The paper has shown that there has been a small but consistent increase in the percentage of female authors in the past decade.
