NYU ITE Chapter Receives Student Chapter Achievement Award
The NYU student chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers was awarded the Student Chapter Achievement Award by the ITE Northeastern District, in recognition of the outstanding services the organization provided to its members this year.
Chapter president Jingqin Gao noted the chapter leadership worked hard this year to bring more diverse and multi-disciplinary events to campus this year, and they look forward to enhancing the activities and services they provide in the next academic year. Some of the ITE chapter’s standout events this year included a Women in Transportation Panel Discussion, a series of Smart Cities Tech and Career Talks, and several field visits, such as to the NYCDOT Traffic Management Center. The club also hosted this year’s ITE Northeastern District Collegiate Traffic Bowl and Student Symposium, featuring a mentoring lunch and student poster session, and the NYU ITE team placed second in the Traffic Bowl competition.
