Tianjin Delegation Visits C2SMART
A 10-member delegation from the Tianjin Municipal Engineering Design & Research Institute visited C2SMART on September 17 to learn about transportation planning and urban design and ITS engineering systems in the U.S., especially in New York City.
Research associate Abdullah Kurkcu provided an overview of C2SMART research and work on ITS-related projects in New York City, and C2SMART Deputy Director Joseph Chow gave a talk on advances toward shared autonomous vehicle fleets. Ph.D. students Jingqin Gao and Fan Zuo presented research on parking and modeling and simulation, respectively. The delegation was also given a tour of the MakerSpace on NYU Tandon’s campus and viewed work done by the Vertically Integrated Projects Smart Cities team.
