A delegation from Beijing, China, visited C2SMART Center on Oct. 3rd, 2017 in an effort to gain a good understanding of parking planning and management in metropolitan areas.

Led by the deputy director of Beijing Municipal Commission of Transportation, Boyi Ma, the 15-member visiting delegation includes representatives from 11 city agencies and institute such as Beijing Transportation Information Center, Beijing Parking Management Center, Beijing Municipal Road Maintenance Management Center, and etc. During the day of the visit, the delegation was acquainted with general information about C2SMART Center, recent research efforts on parking management and operation, especially parking challenges in mega cities such as double parking, as well as innovative approaches on crowd-sourcing data collection and utilization of machine learning techniques.
